AWAY WITH THE FAIRIES
Whimsyland is a perfect collection of fairy doors, fairy garden accessories and everything you need to create a whimsical ‘fae’ experience.
Lauren Yomataris was using her creative energy to decorate cakes, where she found she was spending long hours with little reward or repayment. Inspiration struck when she found a collection of fairy-garden making equipment being sold and turned her cake decorating skills into garden decorating.
“I bought all the tools, and I built Whimsyland from that, says Lauren.
“I started by making mushrooms and doors, and I did a little market and built a website and it grew.”
Lauren is featuring a special piece at Agfest this year – a small replica of the Tasmanian mycena funghi.
